Baby's 1st Christmas!

Ella had a great 1st Christmas weekend! She was spoiled by all of her Grandparents, Aunts and Uncle :) We did lots of driving, eating and socializing. I will let all of the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!!

Merry Christmas & Ella/Daddy Time

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all get to be with your loved ones and remember what Christmas is really about. This time of year is busy, and even more so with a baby now. We have Christmas Eve at Cody's Grandparent's, Christmas morning at his Mom's, Christmas lunch at his Dad's and then Sunday with my parents in Portland.

Cody has had a couple days off of work and has been enjoying Ella/Daddy time. Ella sure LOVES her Daddy!! Here are 2 pictures of his time with her... I will post more after Christmas! Enjoy :)

Lots of new stuff!

We tried rice cereal last night after Ella was excitedly watching us eat at the dinner table. It went well! Most of it ended up on her face and bid; but she did great putting her mouth around the spoon and swallowing. Very exciting!

After the rice cereal Ella thought she was even a bigger girl and wanted to stand and support herself using the ottoman. She was pretty wobbly but her legs are getting very strong. She was very proud of herself and was even smiling.

Friday night Grandpa & Grandma Sitton came to babysit Ella. Cody and I got dressed up and went to his company Christmas party. It was our first evening away from Ella and we had a lot of fun :)

Ella is finally starting to feel better after her bad cold. She is much less congested and her cough is not as sad. She even slept all last night from 9:30pm-6am with not a peep out of her! Much needed sleep for Mommy & Daddy! (Usually she fusses and wakes up several times for a pacifier; so it was really nice) I think finally feeling better and having some thicker food in her tummy made her happier.

Sick baby girl :(

Poor little Ella is sick. She is very congested and as soon as she started coughing we went to her doctor ASAP. Preemies are highly susceptible to RSV; which is an infection that attacks their weak lungs & usually leads to hospitalization. (So you can imagine how nervous we were) The doctor luckily said it had not reached her lungs and she didn’t have a fever. He said it was just a really bad cold & cough. He recommended we get everything we could out of her nose (to keep it from making its way into her chest), saline spray, humidifier and even hot showers. So I stayed home with her Wednesday and Thursday. She is still coughing and has a runny nose but she seems to be getting better slowly. Lots of sleeping and snuggling with Mommy & Daddy :) She is a strong little girl, but having a sick child is very scary.

Busy Weekend

Saturday was Civil War and sadly The Beavers lost :( We went to a party at Cody's sister Kristiina's house. Saturday night I was in the kitchen cooking (onion tarts & pumpkin spice cupcakes) and Ella was watching me from her highchair and was pretty happy about it. She eventually fell asleep too. Sunday we had our Grandparents, Parents and siblings over for our annual Holiday Appetizer Party. It always great to have all of our families in one room.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and long weekend. We had a great 4 day weekend :) Thursday we went up to Portland and celebrated Thanksgiving at my Uncle Mike & Mia's. (My mom's brother) Then Saturday we watched the Beaver game at Grandma Teri's house.
